Nubian Dairy Goats
Our adventure into Nubian dairy goats began in April 2024 with the purchase of two dry yearlings at a youth auction. Willow and CC added elegance and spice to our barns for certain, they may have a bit of diva in them.
In the Fall of 2024, CC was bred to a handsome buck at Moorse Goats and March 10, 2025 we welcomed our very first goat kids to Painted Ridge Farms! A beautiful set of triplets - Red, Geno and Valkyries. In April 2025 we became connected with a Nubian breeder who had a few (29) bottle babies, with the desire to have one more doe kid for this year's fair Bob headed to their place to pick up Daffodil and in true fashion asked if Lily was also available and brought her home too! Now lovingly referred to as the "flower girls", these two have added so much to our barn. Daffodil was an easy favorite at the county fair with her overly friendly personality and super soft, velvety shaved coat.

CC
RAVENS HERD FRENCH ROSALIE Our sassy milking doe keeps us on our toes. They say that first freshener will test your will to have milking goats and she definitely has done that. BUT, we love this girl and we have found the way to her heart is with teddy grahams.
CC will be bred in October to the handsome Moorse Goats buck and we can't wait to see what she delivers next spring! |
Joelle and CC will be heading to the 2025 Minnesota State Fair with simple hopes that she stands nicely for judging.
